This is a monthly series inspired by Carly’s On My Radar series: My favorites from the web this month. We will come back next Monday with our usual scheduling but for now…
Here are my favorites from the web this month:
Cozy Cardio
While planning for my baby 2 postpartum era, in which I plan to be way more active than my baby 1 in-the-middle-of-a-pandemic-postpartum, I found myself discovering this new Tiktok trend called Cozy Cardio in which the idea is to workout in your own home, choosing a comfortable and cozy atmosphere, think cozy candles, your favorite beverage, a walking pad, cycling bike or mini stepper and a favorite tv series to binge. Although several specialists say that is not an effective long term workout regime, it sure is a good way to start being more regularly active and since it’s proved that helps, I will try it for sure. Maybe minus the candle, because it’s starting to feel more and more like summer. But I’m in for a good 20 minutes binge-watching session.
Travel Town game
I don’t know for how long I have not been this addicted to a game. No, I’m not lucky enough to be paid by them to say this, but after getting several ads of this game in other trashy ones I was playing just to spend the time when pregnancy was getting tough on my body, I decided to just download and try it. And man, how addictive it is! If you like simple games that you don’t need to think much, but get suck in to keep playing for hours, this is your game. Try it.
Iron supplement making you feel awful?
I can’t believe I spent a full week feeling that awful until I finally researched and found out that all the stomach pains, nauseous feeling, constipation and whatever else bad thing I’m forgetting right now because it’s over, was so easily to resolve as changing the time of day I was taking my iron supplement. Yes, they do say that we should read the medicine leaflet! Did I do it? No. Because I have taken it in baby T pregnancy before and just focused on trying to take it with some form of vitamin C and no dairy, and if none of it, would be ok. It was not! So, don’t do it like me, don’t expect the doctor or pharmacist to remember you and read the leaflet! Iron supplement needs to be take with some food, never on an empty stomach. Lesson learned. (here is a Portuguese article on how several supplement intakes should be taken)
