If I could choose a series of books to live in summer you know what I would choose, but since life needs to move on and I have to find new stories, I have prepared a couple of choices to bring with me to the beach (or my pool chair).
The Summer of Broken Rules
When researching books to read when you love The Summer I Turned Pretty this is one of the most recommended ones, so I had to dive in on our first trip to our family beach cabin this summer. It’s a easy read with a sweet story. I gave 3*, but since we are talking about my summer TBR, here it is on the list if you’d like to check it out.
Funny Story
Isn’t this indeed a funny story? I’m diving in this one now after I’ve finished The Summer of Broken Rules and until now I’m enjoying Emily Henry writing. I have saw so many recommending her books on Bookstagram that when Simone shared she was re-reading all her books this summer, I had to challenge me too on trying at least one story. This was the one I chose. Until now I’m liking it.
Beach Read
Another Emily Henry book. This one was not chose by me, I feel it chose me. I found it for €10 on Lisbon Book Fair and knew I had to bring it with me. Will be the next read and I’m excited to dive into it, especially because will be the first paperback in a while.
I’m adding a tip here for all the mamas out there that may be struggling on keeping up with reading since baby is here: get an e-reader. My kobo have been a mind blowing change for my reading this year. I started using it a lot in the start of year while reading #ACOTAR, but nothing beats it for the breastfeeding sessions. Plus is super slim and easy to pack it on the diaper bag. Result: is always with me and I get to read everywhere we go.
Hope you enjoyed this blogpost. And if you have recommendations of summer, set on the beach, readings please drop them below. I’m still looking for the perfect summer book after TSITP. :'(
